Description
Oxi-fend® Boysenberry Extract is an antioxidant rich extract of Boysenberries from New Zealand where over 60% of the world’s Boysenberries are grown. Boysenberries are a cross between blackberries (Rubus baileyanus Britt.) and loganberries (Rubus loganbaccus) and are a luscious, sweet berry with an intense, dark purple colour. Boysenberries are packed full of healthy nutrients including high levels of anthocyanin antioxidants. The berries have an antioxidant oxygen radical absorbance capacity (ORAC) twice that of blueberries.

The antioxidant activity is measured using the ORAC assay and Oxi-fend® Boysenberry has an ORAC activity of > 3000 units/gram. Oxi-fend® Boysenberry is able to protect cultured human cells from oxidative stress.
