Description
Oxi-fend® Blackcurrant Extract is an antioxidant rich extract from blackcurrants grown in New Zealand where over 10,000 tonnes of blackcurrants are produced annually. Blackcurrants are packed full of healthy nutrients including high levels of anthocyanin antioxidants. The berries have an antioxidant oxygen radical absorbance capacity (ORAC) twice that of blueberries.

 

Naturally Extracted
Oxi-fend® Blackberry Extract is extracted using only water with our 100% Aqua Pure® process.

The antioxidant activity is measured using the ORAC assay and Oxi-fend® Blackcurrant has an ORAC activity of > 3000 units/gram. Oxi-fend® Blackcurrant is able to protect cultured human cells from hydrogen peroxide-dependent oxidative stress.
